Staff from a pharmacy in Runcorn raised nearly £25,000 for the NSPCC. At Rowlands Pharmacy’s annual charity ball, which had a Beach party theme this year, staff swapped their normal attire to dress as bay watch life guards, beach bums, surfers and sea urchins at the Park Royal Hotel, Warrington. The hotel was transformed into a huge beach party complete with Benidorm Accident & Emergency department, where nurses would tend to the revellers ills for a small charitable donation. Seven years ago the NSPCC was picked as the company’s nominated charity and since then it had raised almost £300,000. Other activities have included the London Marathon, inter company relay races, racing, abseiling , sweepstakes and cake baking.
